Cabinetry FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions:

You asked, we answered! Here are some frequently asked questions that we get here at CTW about our cabinetry services.

Q: What types of cabinets do you offer?

A: We offer over 6 cabinet lines, from semi-custom to stock cabinets. These cabinets include frameless, standard overlay, full overlay, and more! We have plenty of options for you to choose from.

Q: What is the difference between stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinets?

A: Stock cabinets come prepackaged from our warehouse, where we store over 5,000 stock cabinets. They are great quality, entry level cabinets, and are ready to pick up today! Semi-custom cabinets have limited styles, finishes, and door styles, but you have the ability to customize the depth of the cabinet, have an assortment of accessories, and are typically all plywood construction. And as for Custom Cabinets, you name it we can make it! Custom Cabinets range in styles and finishes, paint colors, and wood species. You can get them framed or frameless, with whatever accessories you want.

Q: Do your cabinets come with soft-close hinges and drawers?

A: Any semi-custom or custom line cabinetry does come with soft close hinges. Our in-stock lines do not have soft-close hinges, but they have the option to be upgraded.

Q: Can you match new cabinets to my existing cabinetry?

A: Unfortunately, no. Dye lots, wood grains, and paints oxidize and change with sunlight. This means that you are never going to perfectly coordinate new cabinets with existing cabinets. However, we can try to coordinate as best as possible.

Q: How long does a remodel project normally take?

A: It depends on how involved the project is, for example if you need to move walls for a cabinetry remodel it is going to take a lot longer than simply replacing an existing cabinetry space. Every project is going to differ from size, duration, and technicality. Your salesperson will go through all your options and help set expectations for you. Dates and schedules will be communicated continuously, and all expected dates are set before ordering.

Q: Does CTW provide warranties or guarantees for their work?

A: We carry a 1-year installation warranty with any of our projects, and all manufacturer warranties can be resolved through your salesperson.

Q: How messy is the cabinetry installation process?

A: We don’t cut anything inside your home, but dust is bound to appear during any remodel project. Depending on the size and scope of work, consult your salesperson if you are concerned about what this may look like for your project.

Q: Is there anything I need to do to prepare my home for a cabinetry installation?

A: Have any appliance specs and plumbing specs picked out. Additionally, there needs to be a spot for our carpenters to cut any material outside of your home (for example in your garage) and space for cabinets to be delivered inside of your home. Moving furniture out of the way is appreciated, and if you are requesting that we remove existing cabinets, make sure they are emptied.

Q: Can CTW recycle my old cabinetry?

A: Typically, it would be the homeowner’s responsibility to contact the restore to come pick up their cabinets to recycle depending on their condition and recycling guidelines. We do offer removal of cabinets, but we do not have a location for recycling old cabinetry lines.
